Eugene (Gene) A. Talbott, President
Gene received his education at New Mexico Military Institute and New Mexico State University. He has BS degrees in both Marketing and Mechanical Engineering. While in college, Gene worked as an Assistant Vice President of Marketing with the First National Bank Corporation in Las Cruces, New Mexico. After college, Gene worked in Manhattan for 11 years doing international and domestic brand development with companies including DuPont, Monsanto, Ingersoll Rand, Pratt & Whitney, United Technologies, and Black & Decker. After New York, Gene continued working in brand development with companies such as McDonald’s and North Carolina National Bank (Citi Bank). In 1986, Gene founded Research Strategies, Inc., a full-service firm that conducts public opinion research, consumer research, and business-to-business marketing research. He continues to be instrumental in planning, implementing and analyzing the over 1,800 qualitative and quantitative research projects throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. And Gene also moderates focus groups for clients in the private and public sectors. The success of Research Strategies, Inc. is best summed up by our client’s repeat business!
Patricia Rhinehart, Vice President
Patricia started with Research Strategies in 1996. Patricia earned a BS in Marketing from the University of New Orleans. Prior to joining Research Strategies, Inc., Patricia worked in the banking industry and later for Delta Air Lines. In her 16 year career with Delta Air Lines, she was one of four international training coordinators over 26 Reservation Call Centers. This background gives Patricia the knowledge and experience necessary to make Research Strategies’ Researchers into some of the best in the nation. She, like Gene is instrumental in planning, implementing and analyzing the various aspects of our qualitative and quantitative research projects. Her attention to detail is vital to the success of the company. Patricia is interactive with many different business category clients along with clients using Research Strategies, Inc.’s Legal Division.
Dr. Nancy Burnap, Analyst/Consultant
Nancy earned her Ph.D. from the University of Florida in Social Psychology, with a minor in applied statistics. For 25 years, Nancy was an owner and President of MarketWise, Inc., a full service marketing and opinion research company in Charlotte, North Carolina. Nancy has decades of experience doing research for city and county government. For more than 10 years, Nancy was the lead analyst on annual surveys conducted by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Nancy currently works as a consultant/analyst to Research Strategies, Inc. Nancy’s areas of expertise include public opinion research, brand awareness, product positioning, market segmentation, customer satisfaction, and associate satisfaction research. She has participated in studies for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, Greenville Police Department, Greensboro Police Department, Time Warner, Charlotte Pipe and Foundry, Lowe’s, Carolina Pad, non-profits and other local government departments and school systems.
Judy Creal, Sr. Analyst
Judy is from the Gulf Coast and has a previous working background with Lee Company. Judy has over 15 years of experience working as an analyst and project director for Research Strategies, Inc. Her experience covers a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. Judy handles much of the questionnaire programming, data processing and quality control functions including coding, data validation, and data tabulations. She is proficient with Excel, Access, SPSS and Research Express software.
Abby Richardson, IT/Database Supervisor/Analyst
Abby has worked for Research Strategies, Inc. since 2007. She has a degree in Computer and Information Sciences from the University of South Alabama and has more than twenty years of programming and analysis experience in the private sector. Abby wrote “Research Express,” the proprietary software Research Strategies, Inc. has used for the past 10 years for computer-assisted surveys. This program has been adapted to personal computer devices to be used for in-field data collection. Abby is proficient with SPSS, Access, Excel Winsteps, Visual Basic 6, VB.Net/ASP.Net, SQL, Fox Pro, and Oracle.
